Speaking to Architecture. Religious Institutions
The most sophisticated and outrageous human - architecture interaction happens within the rites and rituals of the world religions. Walls are kissed, floors are touched, openings are worshiped, and columns are hugged. In your pursuit for performative and communicative architecture you will now engage with your clients. One of the world religions.

In the first phase of the project you explored complex architectural choreographies and learned ways to organize and diagram advanced systems in both static drawings and diagrams as well as through animation. Our approach to the world religions will be similar, and so will our methods of decoding their rituals and symbolism. You will chose one of the world religions (possibly one of its subdivisions) and study its structure, people, buildings, artefacts, rituals etc. And make comprehensive diagrams that exposes the invisible and intangible link between architecture and people in the delicate moments of prayer and meditation, both collectively and individually. All the aspects of the religion that have comprehensively been understood is to be drawn and diagrammed, photographs will not be allowed to support the diagrams directly. This way the relevant and significant elements of the client will through a distilled drawn version have a clearer place in your projects. As your projects essentially are about communication and language, a clear way of representing your research, both for yourself and your audience is key.
